Bed Bugs

For thorough detection of bed bugs, use 4 detectors per sleeping area, all at one time. Use the remaining 4 in a second nearby sleeping area or for travel. Replace with new detectors if bed bugs are discovered.

  • There are multiple detectors/traps in this package. Before placement, break Raid Detectors and Traps apart by folding at the perforated lines.

  • Place a detector on the floor next to the two legs of the bed or furniture closest to the person's head where people sleep or rest.

  • The other 2 detectors can be placed horizontally under the box spring or near the top of the mattress between the head of the mattress and the wall.

  • Always orient the trap with the label side down.

  • Detectors are most effective if sheets and blankets are tucked in, not handing down and touching the floor. Bed bugs traveling to the bed may access the bed at these points, instead of using the legs where you placed detectors.

  • The detectors should be left in place continuously and replaced when a bed bug is caught, when dirty or every 3 months. Use all detectors at once. Use enough detectors for all bedrooms and living room furniture.

  • Examine the detectors and the area under the detectors for the presence of bed bugs at least 2-3 times each week. A flashlight may be useful for seeing the bugs through the top.

  • To discard, wrap and seal detector in a plastic bag and place in outside trash.

  • If even one bed bug is found, start a treatment program immediately. Go to to learn more.
